Whimsical Anthropologie Inspired Wedding
Laurelei & Jimmy are one of our sweetest, quirkiest couples and oh, what a joy it was to design their wedding flowers! I had already met Laurelei once or twice (as former Anthropologie employees, our paths had already crossed!) and I knew this was going to be fun! My suspicions were confirmed when she brought in a throw pillow that she had scored on sale many years prior that she was using as the basis for entire wedding's color palate. This pillow was a fabulous blend of colors incorporating corals, peaches, mustards, and lavenders.
Whimsical is the word that Laurelei wanted to descibe her wedding. They were getting married at the adorable Historic Heights Firestation and wanted the flowers to be dreamy and with a little retro flair. We decided that to best achieve that look, we would use tinted baby's breath as a base for our designs, instead of foliage. Making baby's breath look modern is no easy feat, but I think we absolutely nailed it!
For the ceremony, we created a circle arch backdrop with tinted baby's breath, roses, and sweet peas. After the ceremony we flipped the space, moving the arch behind the cake table and setting up an epic elevated head table runner of tinted baby's breath, with bud vases and floral pin frogs to create a garland below.
We coordinated linens for this wedding as well, opting for insanely gorgeous custom mustard velvet linens for the head table and cake table, and classic champagne colored linens for the rest of the guest tables.
The wedding quirky and sweet and so perfectly Laurelei & Jimmy! Thanks to Katherine Evangeline Photography for capturing things so beautifully!
